Required Reading
Order of Priority 1.Software Engineering by (Roger Pressman or KK agarwal) 2.Testing Software by (cem kaner)
Essential Advice
1. Grab as much as knowledge in Software Engineering Domain. 2. Get knowledge in SDLC ,STLC, Bug Life Cycle,Test Creation and Execution, Test Management etc. 3. Go through forums like interview question/discussion 4. Get some knowledge in Testing tools
Role Model
I don't follow a Role Model however tries to grab qualities from every person
Changes in the industry
It's been quite challenging now a days in terms of Automation . Big Companies Focuses on Automation Experts as they can make testing faster as compared to Manual however Manual has still demand because every Application can not be Automated if it changes frequently/dynamic in nature.
Plans for the Future
A CEO or a owner of a Small company
A Fine Balance:
1.Passionate towards work whereas keeping my mind cool and Calm. 2.Taking serious thing no too much seriously and light things no too much lightly. 3.Always look for solution first rather getting hyper why problem has occurred.
Tech trends to watch out for
Automation Testing Tools However I strongly believe a tester can excel if he /she grabs the domain knowledge.
Parting thoughts
QA/Testing plays an important role in any SDLC . So it will be always demanding and have a good future in coming years also.
Most Important Decisions
After my Engineering I was quite messed with my decision however working with BPO (During Engineering which gave lot of confidence in terms of personality ) and a software company which realized me that i made for QA/Testing only.
Areas for the Future
1.Automation Tool (Performance/GUI/Web-based) and Test Management (Quality Center) 2. Domain Knowledge like telecom, Insurance.Banking etc.
The Journey So Far
Its been ups and downs and however at the end always got positive results because of firm determination and a cool/peaceful mind
Degrees that Matter
Yes, in future an eligibility would be defined in terms of certification which has already been started by Big Companies 1.ISTQB/CSTQA (foundation and Advanced) 2.QTP/Load runner certification etc
Most Important Lessons
1. Always believe in yourself. 2. Never loose hope because life changes in every minute . If today you don't have any job, would feel you did nothing and you will find/count all your mistakes and next day if you get the job you will feel i have achieved something and everything is fine. 3
