Role Model:
My role model is one Mr. Sanjiv Kumar, who owns a Takshila Educational society, runs 4 DPS schools in 4 different parts of the country (Patna, Ludhiana, Pune, Coembatore). He has a very dynamic personality, always mix creativity in his operations. His days are filled with planning new projects.
Career Profile:
I am now running a Digital Media company in Delhi 'Dragons Lab Pvt. Ltd.'. Its very satisfying to implement my ideas and see them realising. I am combination of both creativity and administration, for my MBA from IIM-Cal and Media qualification from MAAC, with 10 years of work experience.
Growth Strategy:
I bring in new ideas, new approaches to my business and always plan innovative things. Some gets implemented and some just remain a plan, but this process ensures that we are fertile and always adding steps to our path.
Done Differently:
I dont think I could do anything differently then what has happened with me. I always wanted to set-up a digital media company since my school days. And it has been gradual progression to this stage. I developed my profile, education and then worked enough in the industry to reach this stage.
The Decisions That Matter
To set-up my own company at the time when the world was suffering from the great recession sage in 2009!!
Job Profile:
I initiate all new ideas, then plan their execution, look for market and acceptability. Then I set-up individual responsibilities on each team and its members. I monitor and guide all functional areas during the project development life cycle, so to get best product. I also prepare a marketing plan.
Degrees That Matter:
There are many.. I am hungry to learn new things. Apart from being in career, I have passion to learn new skills. So will keep doing it always.
Advice For New Professionals:
Look for detailing, give your soul to your work, enjoy what you are doing. Today professionals are forgetting the preciseness in their work, while to bring out the best product, utmost detailing with soul in your work is most important.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Its more competitive now. Previously people had sacrificing attitude towards their fellows. But now self-centred approach is growing fast, people are more selfish now. There were also sense of responsibility towards the current project/assignment. Now people leave it in middle as they get new offer.
Working Life Management:
I enjoy my work immensely. So its my life. I dont need to distinguished between them.
The Journey So Far:
Its overwhelming.. always meeting new people, making some good friends, and knowing about their culture & traditions; these all fascinates me a lot. In corporate world people are very friendly, humble and sharing. As everyone has to connect with others.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
My animation film, which I have directed. Apart from a special music video which I directed, which was shot completely inside the Tihar jail with its inmates singing, playing instruments and appearing on screen.
