About Gaurav Kumar Mathur's family

We have seven members in my family. My father (Retd. Govt. servent), My mother (House wife), My wife (Lecturer in Pvt. college)and my three sisters. I am the youngest one among all of them. My two elder sisters got married. We live in Jaipur (Rajasthan, India)since 1948.
Tech trends to watch out for
I tested the electronic meters. Basically all testing is base on standards, which is specify for all type of testing. As per standards i test the meter through machine or through manual. Because before do any testing,you must know the standards points ,so it is easy to know the basic technical thin
The Journey So Far
I completed my B.E.(E&C)from Rajasthan university in 2007. In Oct 2007 i joined my first job in AIRCOM international at Shimla. In Jun 2008 i changed my job and join Genus power as Validation engg at jaipur. In August 2010 i changed the job and joined NCMSL as an Area Manager at jaipur.
Plans for the Future
Because currently i am handling the operation as well as Client relationship work. So i understand all basic things. From this experience i see myself on a level where the operation and business relationship both executed.
Currently working at
Overall Monitoring, smooth functioning and continuous improvement of automatic weather station operations. Handling all the administrative activities in the state. State level inventory Management. Liaising with government officials as well as with general insurance companies. Engineers Recruitment
A Fine Balance:
My basic work is on field and client relationship. I planed my audit work of all stations in a way so my Government officials meeting will not be disturbed. I accept all challenges and review through out,If there is any time flexibility to accomplish the challenge i discussed with my colleagues.
Changes in the industry
As i started all the testing or data validation is manually or partially technical. But currently all testing is on machines even the data collection is through GPRS systems and the data directly fetch on internet browser. I also using GPRS technology for Data collection.
Degrees that Matter
In electronic industry if you are in Testing field ,at least you must be know the basics of the electronic as well as electrical. Because standards are totally based on basics. Also some specific training also organized by domain industries.
Most Important Decisions
When i joined the Genus Power in Jun 2008, i sited in the Lab to test the meters, at that time i discussed with HR and my HOD to change my profile and give me Product management profile, in which testing of meter and Product promotion both profiles included. That is change my career
Most Important Lessons
Work is work .Be a professional and accept the challenges. If you accept the challenges then you see the hurdles and achievement in you working life. You just learn many things to became a professional, if you take interest in your work.
Role Model
My Father-in-law. He started his career with a very small package and at that time he also got married. After of that he clear his Phd Degree, he wrote many books and became a milestone in education industry. Now he is spend is life very peaceful.
