Tech trends to watch out for
Currently I am working on manual testing projects, with Agile testing methodology. From a career point of view I both manual testing and agile testing are important and I am also looking for a chance to get growth in automation as wall.

I have done internal certifications in my organisation. I am planning for ISTQB and HP QC ALM certification, I would like to recmmend the same.

If we have the knowledge we can definitely get growth, but along if we have the logic we can excell.

Changes in the industry
When I joined I was not having much idea about QA activities, but really it is a very vast world and I have see a lot of opportunities for QA/Testing.
Currently working at
I have worked on various testing technologies and methodologies. I have excellent experience in building teams for testing medium to large sized project. I specialize in Call Center Technologies, and Voice testing. I also have experience in Agile Testing.
Essential Advice
I would like to advice that, software testing is a very good option to start career and there are lots of opportunities for a right candidate who work with passion and dedication.
Current and Previous Responsibilities
I am working as a test lead, my responsibilities include cordinating with intra and inter groups, providing test estimation, test planning, initiate meetings, review meetings, sign off for QA activities. My previous job profile was similar with project cordination in telecom domain.
Points of inflection
Only inflection point I can say is I had been selectd though campus in Patni. Due to recession my joining was delayed to about 1.5 years so I had gone for telecom job. All of a suddent with opportunities coming up I was considered as valuable resource for Patni (now iGATE)
Areas for the Future
Knowledge and experience in Manual, testing, Agile testing, SQL, AQT, HTML, Quality Center tool ... are a few of them
