Test Strategies to Ensure Reliable Product
Bangalore: With an aim to categorize the most important tasks and challenges of the test project, the selection of a suitable test strategy is the main factor behind the success of testing. For smaller projects, the test strategy document is usually included along with the test plan, however, for larger projects; it is a separate entity from the test plans for each levels of testing.
Here are the major testing strategies that are used in software testing to ensure a reliable product.
1. Risk Based Test Strategy
Testers while testing a project may experience certain risks. In order to identify or reduce the occurrence of the risks, testers use Risk Based Testing approach. There are two types of risks involved while testing a product: Product Risk and Project Risk.

3. Model Based Test Strategy
Under the Model-based testing approach, testers base the test case generation and results evaluation on a model of the application under test.
4. Process compliant Test Strategy
In this type of testing, the test is conducted based on the standards set forth by the industry.
5. Dynamic Test Strategy
Here testers based the testing on events rather than pre planning the test. The evaluation and the execution phases occur simultaneously.
6. Consultative Test Strategy
Business experts who are not in the testing team usually guide the process and provide advices regarding the testing process.
