About Tushar Singhal's family

My Father is Businessman and ny mother is HouseWife. I have two siblings. My elder sister is Lecturer in an Engineering College and my younger brother also works with a Product based Software company.
Areas for the Future
I think that trend is now moving from desktops to mobile devices. Also in terms of operating system more people are now opting for Mac OS/Linux OS. So specialization in understanding of these Operating Systems is going to matter most. Also, understanding of automation frameworks is such skill.
Degrees that Matter
Study material of ISTQB Certification helped me a lot in understanding a lot of things that are practiced in QA industry. I recommend this especially to QA candidates with close to 1-2 years experience.
A Fine Balance:
I am not sure if this is applicable to many or not but I have personally experienced that it is our own mismanagement of work and time that leads to Work Life imbalance. Before committing to new task, I see current workload. Also everyday, before starting to work, I plan targets for that day myself.
Essential Advice
I have noticed freshers seeing QA as not so lucrative carrier opportunity. However, this is not the reality. QA/Testing is not just a profession, it is an attitude. QA person looks for Quality in every thing even outside work. It changes lifestyle. QA has very imp role in any software's life cycle
Most Important Lessons
We should always aim at solving problems and should not just list problems. This reduces productivity and increases stress. Good and productive work environment is created by interacting well with other team members. Commitment & Dedication to work is key to success.
Plans for the Future
Couple of years from now, I would like to be handling responsibilities where I am able to drive complete QA life-cycle for a new product feature. I would be happy to see if I can technically mentor team of 5-10 people atleast.
Tech trends to watch out for
Cloud Computing and mobile applications are the areas that are of my interest. Information is everything for business standpoint. Cloud computing and mobile helps users to have their data and apps available anywhere. So I see this as the future technology trend of QA/Testing space.
The Journey So Far
I have approx 5 years of Work Experience now. I started my career with a service based CMM Level 5 company. There I learnt what Process actually means & why they are so important. Then I worked with product based companies in CAD domain and Cyber Security domain. Still a long way to go.
