About Rajesh Bhutra's family

I belong to a middle class family and grew in a joint family environment. Father an Advocate,is into Tax Consultancy and mother a house wife. Went into IT environment from the age of 15 as father started an IT Co then. Wife a Masters in Hindi (School Teacher) blessed with 2 children's manages my life.
Advice For New Professionals:
Use your inherent talent to the fullest and improvise. Become specialist in your area of interest.
Always lead from the front and always create examples forothers.
Always say Yes to the right methods and processes and NO to unfair means and methods.Never take a short cut to success.
Working Life Management:
I love working by passion and that keeps me going. Initial results drives me for a long inning.My work pressure goes off when I unwind with my daughter and family. I love visiting new places,meeting new people as it gives me fresh ideas of handling sales. I Love watching movies and family outings.
Other Thoughts:
I always had crush for electronic gadgets. Took electronics as addl subject in class IX-X and experimented with making musical bells,radios with telephonic frequency,clap on dimmer lights.Did a certification in Web Designing and ECommerce in 2002 but could not pursue due to demand then.
The Decisions That Matter
Started IT career at age 16. Dropped CA to continue IT in '93. Ventured into Telecom business in Feb'03 with RCOM. Started Mangalam International Pvt Ltd with IT,Telecom and related products. Added WS Radio in 2006. Joined NCS in Jan'10 to start a career in ERP Software.

MBA in IT with Specialization in Marketing
Role Model:
It was Mr Manohar Malani CMD NCS Group. He transformed my life during my stint in that group and made me specialise in ERP softwares.He worked on every aspect of my nature and ensured it improved.

He made me create a road-map to redefine myself.Advised me to be active listener and respond in a very polite manner. Presently I am learning how to remain humble under all circumstances from my great CEO Mr Srinivas Vardarajan.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
The IT line has lost its charm it had in the period 1986-2000. Hard work to success mantra have changed to short term gains. Continues cost cutting has reduced the IT hardware margins and thus the earning in hand. The mantra to success is in IT solutions.

Done Differently:
Would have specifically gone for MBA in IT with core specialization in marketing. Would have started my own software development Company and ventured into customized solution for Retail and F-B industry. The coming time will see the scope of application software in this industry.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
It was short of a risk with my career as after having left a career in IT in 2003 and joining Telecom, I took a rebound by joining NCS in Jan 2010 and that too venturing into software marketing. I feel the risk paid off and I the job which gave me national exposure,experience and domain expertise.

My job covers complete overall responsibility of the product called IPMPlus Intelligent Power Management Software. It starts with identifying right Distributors,developing Enterprise Partners along with create,developing and pushing sales both in Enterprise and Retail .Meeting targets and supervising support along with client relationship go hand in hand.
Career Profile:
The current job profile evolves Central responsibility as Director Sales (India) for IPMPlus an innovation from Vigyanlabs while at NCS it was sales and development of Education ERP for Kolkata and Retail ERP FusionRetail nationally.
The Journey So Far:
When I look back at my IT career I do not regret . Where ever I have reached today is the outcome of my experience of so many years in IT. It comes naturally to me. The domain expertise through experience has increased my IT career for many more years to come.
