Tech trends to watch out for
The QA and testing is very important in latest work. I am developing mobile apps for Microsoft Dubai and other clients, on windows phone and iPhone platforms. The manual testing is some thing you cannot escape in mobile apps. Eg the apps get rejected if its a very common idea.
A Fine Balance:
As far as mobile app testing is concern we follow the apple and windows market space guidelines called as "certification guideline" it keeps updating. Beside this we have in built performance and memory leak testing tools in the developer tool- visual studio and Xcode.
For mobile app, An individual with Manual testing and concept execellence expertise skills will have an edge. Let me give you an example, now in order to make it windows 8 app store, app need to pass app excellence lab of Microsoft globally. I mean your idea need to be unique also.Exposure Needed.
Changes in the industry
It's just not about an App performance and memory leak... In mobile apps it's all about Idea, concept and end user exoerience. A Quality Assurance from conceptualition till execution needed. Also need to follow ui guideline of the market store. It's more of human inputs and broad room discussion
Current and Previous Responsibilities
Earlier I was a trainer, now I make apps now am a mobile app developer. Testing or QA come by default. Each work of mine has to pass through testing phase of apple store or Microsoft markets space. Now testing is much in the life of a mobile app developer in order to make it to market.
