Essential Advice
Have an eye for detail, patience, diligence and get ready for the monotonous work
The Journey So Far
Graduated in Bachelor of Computer Science in 2001, I worked in IT Tech Support for about 4 years. With the interest in up-skilling and an opportunity to study in Australia, I pursued Masters in Information Systems. Then started a career in QA and working in QA for 4.5 years now.
Most Important Decisions
Learn both technical and business analysis skills that will help in efficient QA. Also, wanted to movie in Test Automation which is suppose to be the next hype in QA.
Most Important Lessons
Be courteous and friendly to your peers as you may learn a lot from them. At the same time know your limits as extreme friendship can be a total disaster as you may tend to do the task at your friend's (peer) request which you are not suppose to do.
Role Model
I dont have a role model because I may tend to restrict my skills if I achieve the role model's position. Rather, I wanted to be a role model for myself.
Current and Previous Responsibilities
setup and maintain QA environments, Perform testing, Defect management, Prepare release package, UAT testing.
