Most Important Lessons
Dont give your professional higher priority to your family life....... Family comes first.............
Current and Previous Responsibilities
Responsiblities in my current role is to manage the internal network of BSNL and managing diffrent Broadband projects given to bsnl by USO , HRD department of govt of India etc... Previously I was a software engineer working as an analyst, debugger and design engineer.......
Essential Advice
While starting a career in Testing domain, usually the mentality of freshers dont consider testing to be a good option. But guys, testing is a very good option if u go deep into it and i'll suggest u 2 start with manual testing and go further up to automated tested & writing thier own test cases....
Tech trends to watch out for
i'm no more in testing... Now shifted to PSU (BSNL)... Guys when recession hits..... It tells us to go for job security.... money is not everything....... but it should keep flowing....... stagnation kills in every sense........
The Journey So Far
joined sasken in on november 03,2008 as software engineer.....(being a B.tech ece it was good to learn the software field) then left Sasken on november 13,2009 after getting selected as JTO in BSNL in Punjab circle........ Learning new technologies in Telecom sector......
Currently working at
JTO (IT) at Sangrur, PUNJAB was previously working as JTO CDOT in switching section......
Changes in the industry
cant say anything about it now
Most Important Decisions
leaving Sasken to join BSNL. When I was awaiting result, I told my parents to please not force me to join BSNL if i get selected all the time, but after the result came, I straight away chose to join BSNL, remembering the faces of my collegues(family+emis+kids) who were asked to leave in recession.
Plans for the Future
will be looking forward to get an MBA from IIM B (Executive) and then look forward to switch from BSNL to some other "Govt Job"......
Points of inflection
recession in 2008-09
Required Reading
reader digest
Role Model
that will take us from technical to religious side. So, I would not like to specify it here.
