I am basically from Rajsthan. My family runs business there. I am the first one engineer in my family.
A Fine Balance:
I don't think too much. I enjoy my work so i complete the work on time and hence i get the time for my personal life.
Current and Previous Responsibilities
I am doing automation with perl framework in Wireless LAN domain. Before this project, i was working on cisco projects 'data center nexus switches and automation of IPS(intrustion prevention system)' as a qa-tester. i was doing L2/L3 testing and automation using TCL.
Points of inflection
When i joined the cisco project 'data center nexus switches'. I got more exposure there and hence i could gain more in terms of career.
Currently working at
I am working as a qa-tester for wireless LAN domain. My role involves around doing automation and regression of wireless devices using perl framework(juniper framework).
Areas for the Future
Testing the virtualisation and cloud computing features.
Parting thoughts
In software industry, you have to be flexible with the work you are doing. And in qa, your scope of testing should be broader.
Essential Advice
Be confident while testing the features. Understand your role and responsibility clearly and remember one thing - your task is to find the fault in the product.
The Journey So Far
am Ankit Tater working in IT industry from past 2.9 years. I have done my engineering from skit, jaipur in IT with 77%. I have worked on cisco projects 'Intrustion prevention system(IPS/IDS) and data center nexus switches as a 'qa-tester'. I have working knowledge of layer 2/3 protocols and TCL
